For many, finance can be intimidating and the most confusing part of the home buying process. From the variety of financing options available to the process itself, you can begin to feel quite overwhelmed. here are just a few tips that can help you save time, confusion and frustration.
Finance 101
- Understand the difference between pre-qualified and pre-approved.
- Speak to 2 or 3 lenders (We can help connect you if needed) and discuss finance options.
- Work backwards! Let your lender know what you want your monthly payment to be. This approach helps determine your price range.
- Get that pre-approval letter!
- Know what you will need to close. Your lender can provide you with a statement that itemizes your estimated transaction costs.
- Don't open any new lies of credit or make any large purchases until after you close.
